Division of Nuclear Medicine was established by Shahram Dabiri Oskouei, M.D. in 1989 and it began to offer service as a division in Imam Khomeini hospital of Tabriz.
The physical infrastructure of our department was renewed in 2010 in parallel to the instruction of Imam Reza Hospital. With its instruction, our unit continues to practice modern and advanced methods of diagnosis and treatment.
Department of Nuclear Medicine is located on the first floor of Imam Reza Hospital. Outpatient clinic services of general nuclear medicine are provided here for patients referred from different departments of our hospital for various tests. Furthermore, radioactive iodine treatment for outpatients diagnosed with hyperthyroidism is also provided in this department. Also advanced inpatient ward for treatment of patients with radioiodine and also other therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals is in instruction, which contain 10 isolated and modern protected rooms.
