Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department is located in the ground floor of the center.
Activities offered at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center of Imam Reza Hospital:
Department of physical medicine:
Electrodiagnosis center or nerve and muscle band of the peripheral system (EMG / NCS): to diagnose neuromuscular diseases such as neuropathies, myopathies, radiculopathies...
Central nervous system band: including visual, auditory and somatosensory evoked potentials (VEP, ABR, SEP).
Intra-articular injections: for knee and shoulder arthritis, tendonitis, adhesive capsulitis, trigger finger, etc.
Acupuncture and biofeedback therapy: for the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome of neck and back and local muscle spasms.
Rehabilitation department:
The rehabilitation of neurological diseases including the stroke rehabilitation unit which is performed in two forms: inpatient rehabilitation during hospitalization and outpatient rehabilitation after the patient discharge.
Orthopedic rehabilitation: for patients with fractures, replacement of hip and knee joints and after spinal disc surgery.
Pastural analysis and body composition analysis: to diagnose skeletal deformities and disorders of body composition and weight of patients and treatment planning for these disorders, including bracket foot (genovarus), crossed foot (genovalgus), flat foot, curvature and crooked back (kyphosis and scoliosis).
Prescribing orthoses and prostheses: for disabled patients and incurable diseases as well as the skeletal deformities mentioned above.
Occupational therapy: to restore functional strength and quality of life in patients with neurological disorders
Speech therapy: in stroke patients with speech and communication disorders
