Current information about Rheumatology ward Tabriz University of Medical Sciences
The rheumatology ward at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences is located in the Imam-Reza Medical Research and Training Hospital.
This ward has six faculty members and each year two subspecialty rheumatology fellowships are accepted for a two-year course. Medical students and internal medicine assistants are also training in our ward. This ward includes 14 beds for patients that need to admission. Joint sonography, capillaroscopy, and bone mineral density can be done if needed.
There are subspecialty outpatient clinics for collagen vascular diseases (including systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, and inflammatory myositis) , rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthropathy, vasculitis, and behcet disease. Patients are admitted via the internet.
Connective Tissue Diseases Research Center is working on the new findings about rheumatologic diseases and has published many valuable articles in prestigious journals.
The rheumatology ward at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences is known as the Rheumatology Center of Excellence in the north-west of Iran.
