- Carpal tunnel syndrome
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition in which the median nerve of the hand is compressed in a sheath-like area made of the bones and ligaments of the wrist, called the carpal tunnel. This nerve is responsible for the feeling of the palm and the inner surface of the fingers except for the little finger and also responsible for the movement of the thumb.

The anterior cruciate ligament is usually called the anterior cruciate ligament. This ligament is among the ligaments that get damaged during intense activities. Rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament is common in professional athletes.
