Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Research Center" operates as one of the research centers of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and a subgroup of the Aging Research Institute. This center was approved by the vote issued in the 200th meeting of the Council for the Development of Medical Sciences Universities and obtained approval in principle in February 2010 and officially started its activity in April 2010 in commemoration of Dr. Mohammad Sadegh Sediq Mostofi and with the efforts of the founding board (Dr. Seyed Kazem Shakuri, Dr. Yaqoub Salek Zamani, Dr. Vahidah Topchizadeh, Dr. Bina Eftikharsadat, and Dr. Fariba Eslamian).Then this center was recognized as one of the definitive research centers by the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education in December 2016, while receiving definitive approval. In these years, with the cooperation of faculty members and capable researchers, extensive scientific relationships have been established with various domestic and foreign academic and clinical research centers, and many outstanding scientific articles have been published or are being published in prestigious scientific databases of the world.
